We're Finally Getting Married!

We met at the neighborhood park, Kunawai to be exact, down at the pond. We were in the 7th grade and Miles was laying down on the pond wall, a slipper on each hand trying to catch crayfish. I lay next to him and asked what he was looking for, and when he caught the crayfish, I instantly thought he was the coolest kid on the block. Fast forward 5 years, in our senior year, one of our close friends kept trying to get us to date and I constantly resisted, for the mere fact that I didn't want to lose Miles as a friend. Of course, I gave in and decided to give it a try. My dad at first, did not approve of us getting together. My dad knew Miles as my youngest brothers friend and didn't like the idea of Miles and I dating. He even threatened to "bunch" (punch) Miles' head LOL! My dad now LOVES Miles. Choosing to date Miles was the best choice I've ever made because I got to experience true love, and from that love, I have two beautiful children, and a life long soulmate.
