The Bible Study: In February 2024, Aaron met Kristen at a weekly Bible study in Virginia Beach. Even though it was the very first week of a new season, Aaron jumped right in—joining the group for a game night that Friday to celebrate a birthday. Little did he know that the night would lead to Chicks Oyster Bar, a local spot for music and drinks. This night Aaron and Kristen shared their first moments together with a little “dougie,” some “Kid ‘n Play,” which sparked the start of something new. The Banque: Over the weeks that followed, Aaron and Kristen grew closer through Bible study, group runs with SPARC, a local 757 run club, and group hangouts. Then one night, a friend outing to line dance turned into something more. Everyone planned to meet at The Banque for a line dancing class—but as if by fate, the only two who arrived were Aaron and Kristen. Before anyone else showed up, they found themselves sharing an impromptu mini-date on the dance floor. They shared the dance floor yet again and hung out for the rest of the night. The Bee & The Biscuit: A few weeks later, after three months of friendship and communicating sparingly, Aaron began to pray and seek wisdom from family and friends. He learned the southern phrase to "paint or get off the ladder" and received encouragement to shoot his shot.  Kristen replied with “I would love that”. After the Saturday morning SPARC run and self-defense class, they headed to brunch at The Bee & The Biscuit. Hours passed at the local staple over buttery biscuits and great conversation where finally Aaron professed his intentions and admirations of Kristen. Eventually brunch came to an end, but the first date lasted the rest of the day. Fast forward to February 2025, to the day before Kristen’s 30th birthday, and Aaron popped the big question. Their adventure continues… "paint or get off the ladder"
