Question

VENUE | THE GROUNDS

Answer

The above image shows an aerial view of Saint Clements Castle. The front of the building is at the bottom. We have indicated the following on the image: RECEPTION SPACE & CEREMONY PATH - teal outline CEREMONY SITE PATH - green arrow RECEPTION ENTRANCES - blue arrows PARKING LOT - blue outline Worth noting, this is an old image prior to the addition of the new ceremony site we will be using, which is located beyond the right side of the image. The pathway to the site has been remodeled significantly. The remainder of the grounds is space associated with the Waterford Ballroom, Saint Clements' other reception space.

Question

ATTENDEES | ADULTS(21+) ONLY

Answer

We have chosen for our Ceremony and Reception to be Adults-Only. We have planned for a day of celebration where all of our adult guests have the opportunity to let their hair down. To us, this means hosting an event where adult talk, drinking, and wild dance moves (good or bad) are of no risk to infants, children, or teens. We appreciate your understanding, and hope you will still be able to celebrate with us!

Question

ATTIRE | SEMI-FORMAL

Answer

We want our guests to be able to be comfortable, and have a range of attire to choose from! For that reason, we've opted for semi-formal attire. FOR THE GENTLEMEN A button down and slacks is perfect! Throw on a nice jacket if it "suits" you. FOR THE LADIES A comfortable dress works great, whether knee length or full! A nice shirt and slacks if you'd prefer! We recommend bringing a jacket or shawl to accommodate the unpredictable October weather! Our ceremony, while brief, will be held outdoors so long as there is no precipitation! The remainder of the evening will take place indoors, with access to an outdoor courtyard to cool off!

Question

COSTUMES | GUIDELINES

Answer

In lieu of semi-formal dress, the Bride and the Groom invite all of our guests to attend our wedding in costume! While we want guests to show us their Halloween spirit, we would also like to avoid conflicts with our venue and damages to property, or other guests. At our venue’s request, we are asking guests to be conscious about props, makeup, and other items. Please note the below list of venue-prohibited items when considering your costume: MASKS | Our venue has requested that all guests’ faces be visible. No masks or face coverings of any kind. Makeup is fine! WEAPONS | Including real weapons of any kind, airsoft or paintball type guns, un-loaded guns, and any fake weaponry props. We don’t want to give our venue any cause for concern. OPEN FLAMES & HEAT SOURCES | Including candles, sparklers, fireworks, really anything that could potentially spark a fire. LIQUID ITEMS | Including fake blood bags, liquid-filled jars, excessively drippy makeup, etc. Please also note that outside food and drink of any kind cannot be brought into our venue. CONFETTI | Including rice, paper, glitter, etc. MISCELLANEOUS | Including easily-broken glass objects, bubbles, CO2 Cannons, Fog machines, smoke devices, dry ice, etc. This list covers the basics of what not to bring, including those specifically listed by our venue team. If something is not listed here, please use your best judgment. If it is potentially hazardous, likely to stain or damage property, or otherwise cause concern, please reconsider it as part of your costume. Our venue staff will have final say in what is acceptable, and may ask guests to remove or change part of their costume if it is of concern. For this reason, we recommend that guests choosing to attend in costume bring a change of clothing in line with our regular, semi-formal dress code, just in case!

Question

LODGING | AS NEEDED
