Due to the continued uncertainty that the COVID-19 pandemic brings, Tanner and Sarah have made the tough decision to keep the wedding on the small side. If you received an invitation to the virtual ceremony only, that means that you're important to us and we would love for you to participate in our big day by watching our wedding live stream. We will begin the live stream between 4:45-5pm EST on Saturday. If you'd like to watch, please join our private Facebook group where the ceremony will air by clicking on the link below. Feel free to share with others! Link: https://www.facebook.com/groups/2952143868347782/ We would also love to hear from you! You can leave a message for Tanner and Sarah by following the instructions on the wedding website under "the big day" tab. Look for the event labeled "send a message to the bride & groom" for more details on how to participate. If you were invited to the in-person ceremony but can't make it, you are also invited to participate virtually.
We are limited in capacity and, unfortunately, cannot invite plus-ones for every guest. Please type your name in the RSVP box or look at your invitation to see who from your party is invited. If your invitation says "Your Name and Family," we would love to have your kids with us. If the invitation simply says your name + guest or your name with your spouse/significant other's name, then we have only reserved space for those listed on the invitation. We love your kids, but due to our limited capacity, we have only invited the children of close family members or those who are traveling from far away.
As we move closer to the wedding date, we are continuing to monitor the COVID-19 situation in our area. We are staying up to date on local guidelines. As of now, we are planning to observe social distancing to the best of our ability by limiting the number of in-person guests invited. We will also have our caterer serve guests at the reception to minimize shared items. Additionally, we have selected a venue that allows us to be outdoors yet still under covering in case of any weather. Finally, we will provide hand sanitzers on every table at the reception. We ask that if you have a fever or are feeling sick in the days leading up to the wedding or if you are exposed to COVID-19 at that time, that you would stay home and join us for the virtual ceremony to help keep our friends and family safe. The mask mandate for Kentucky has been lifted so guests are not required to wear a mask. If a mask would make you more comfortable though, we invite you to wear one.
The wedding ceremony and reception will both be on the property of The Ashley Inn which is a working farm and equestrian center. All events will be outdoors in a sense, but will be under cover in case of rain. The ceremony will be in the barn which is well-ventilated with large, open doors on each end of the building. The reception will be a few steps away in the carriage house which is a large, open-air gazebo-like structure with open sides and a roof.
Come dressed to celebrate! We will be outdoors during a Kentucky June so keep that in mind when selecting your apparel. Wear what makes you feel beautiful or dapper -- just remember that the color white is reserved for the bride. ;)
Please arrive shortly before 5pm to allow yourself time to park and make your way to your seat in the barn. The ceremony will begin at 5pm.
