We're Getting Married!

We met at The Alaska Club gym just a week before her birthday. She was working out alone in the turf room, which has a big open window facing the rest of the gym. From her side, she noticed a guy walking back and forth outside the window… and then back again… and again. From his side, he was just trying to work up the courage to say hello. Eventually, he did. Caleb walked in, introduced himself, and confidently asked for her number and she said yes. What he didn’t know at the time was that she had already noticed him around the gym and was planning to talk to him after her workout anyway. He beat her to it, and luckily no one had to pace the gym any longer Two days later, we went out for coffee. The conversation came easily, the laughter didn’t stop, and it felt natural from the very beginning. What started with a few nervous laps around a gym window quickly turned into something steady and meaningful, built on friendship, humor, patience and understanding. Sometimes all it takes is a little courage, a little timing, and the right person walking in at the right moment.
