Our Love Story

August 2008

About 14 years ago, James and I met at Shady Grove Baptist Church. We didn't actually know each other but we knew of each other. I knew his father worked at the Pine Belt Regional Airport with my Auntie Angie and he knew that my mother was a school teacher. James was a part of the usher board ministry at Shady Grove and I was a shy little girl that was always with my mother. I didn't see any interest in James at the time but James thought I was pretty and he wanted to get to know me. Time went by and we continued to speak to each at church and other places but nothing really serious. I graduated from North Forrest and decided to go to college at Hinds Community College. While attending Hinds Community College, James decided he would go there also for the diesel mechanic. I could not believe out of all the junior colleges in the state of Mississippi, James choose Hinds Community College. Fate had found his way to Jackson. I went ahead and finish at Hinds and then stated at William Carey while James finished there and landed a job at Howard Industries. After about 10 years of running after me, I decided to give him a try. I quickly realized how much we had in common. He came from a tight knitted family as well as I did and we are both involved in church. We are both educated, hard working, family oriented, love mud riding, rodeos, eating out late, and dollar counters (inside joke). We are both madly in love with each other and can't wait to see what the Lord have in store for us as we travel this journey together.
