Our Past...…………… We met over 40 years ago as teenagers and it was love at first sight so needless to say we were completely brokenhearted when Terence left for the military a little over a year later while I was finishing up my last 2 years of high school. Our bond was strong and even as teenagers we felt like we had found a once in a lifetime love with each other. Unfortunately, we lost contact during his overseas assignment and life moved on for both of us. We were both elalted to find out that we often thought of each other over the years as well as pondering on the once in a lifetime love that we shared. Our Present....……………………………….. Fast forward to 36 years later in the midst of the pandemic I received a private FB message that changed the trajectory of my life. As we have reacquainted over the past 4 years our love has grown stronger than ever before. This time around we are mature adults and love each other on a spiritual level. The Lord is the foundation of our journey of generational blessings. It was challenging in the beginning because we (me more than him) could not embrace being loved on such a high uncoditional level. However, the foundation from 40 years ago was still present so we patiently grew together while giving space to grow individually. We pray together, we cover each other, we intently and intentionally listen (withouth judgement) to one another, and fervently love each other unconditionally. It has been a pure joy to have someone selflessly care for you on such a deep level. We are beyond blessed to have found our happily ever after that began 40 years ago. Our Future...…………………………………………………… We promise to be purposeful about our covenant as we continue to strenghten our bond and love one another. We plan to always keep the Lord first and be mindful that the way we love one another brings glory and honor to Him. We want to represent to our amazing sons the elements of a healthy and loving marriage that will result in a legacy of blessings. We vow to love, honor, and respect each other in and through it all.
