We are ready to say I DO

We met the modern way, through online dating. We talked through text and phone calls for the first few weeks, then had our first date at Soho Coffee Shop in Ohio. When he walked in, I said to myself "oh heck no! This man looks like Teacher Chike" (a nerdy teacher from Nigerian television ). I mean he was wearing shorts with his t-shirt tucked in and long white tube socks.... Not my type, but we ended up having really good conversation. I liked that he was very interested in what I had to say, and who I was as a person. We felt comfortable with each other, then he surprised me and said "let's get out of here and have some fun!" He took me to an arcade, where he taught me how to play different games and we just enjoyed each other's company. We continued to go on multiple dates, then someone had cold feet (cough him) and thought I was too good to true! We stopped talking for a month, then around the holiday season I got a long text from him saying he was sorry for ending things and he was thinking about me. I was stubborn and ignored him for a few days, then decided I'd text back because I still had feelings for him and was willing to hear him out.. We agreed to meet in-person, and I saw that he was looking miserable and that his feelings about missing me were genuine. After a long heart to heart we decided to give US a shot and we promised each other to always speak to one another about our feelings, no matter how hard it was. The rest is history... We have made so many memories together already, and are excited for what the future holds for us.
