We met each other working as bankers in the same branch during covid. We were assigned to different office locations, but fate brought us together. The first time we saw each other we both had masks on! Jacob always jokes the moment he knew he liked me was when he saw me eating a sandwich in my office before the branch opened. It all started with a handshake, but we grew to be good friends and shared lots of stories, jokes, and even food during our time as colleagues. We worked together as friends for a full year before our careers took different paths. After I had left the branch, we ended up talking more and more often during the summer. Talking turned in to hanging out, hanging out turned in to dates, and dates turned in love. We are truly always on the same page and understand each other like no one else. Ever since our first kiss, we knew we would be together for the rest of our lives. In June of 2022, Jacob took me on a trip to Texas to see his home state! We stayed in Austin and got to see the State Capitol, swim at Barton Springs, check out some wild museums, and of course grab some Whataburger. After a few days in Austin, we drove to San Antonio and got to stay a few blocks away from the Alamo! After a couple of days in San Antonio, Jacob took us to the McNay Art Museum. I thought it was just a regular evening outing to see some different exhibits. After a few hours of walking around, we went out to the overlook with the fountain and watched the sunset. A moment later he was on one knee, asking to marry me. Of course I said yes! and from there the rest is history! We are so excited for the big day and to spend all of our days together.
