Our first date was meant to be a quick dinner at Lily Sushi—just a spicy tuna roll, a drink, and see how it goes. But right off the bat, Matthew showed up with my favorite flowers (roses, good start), and things pretty much kept going uphill from there. One dirty martini with Tito’s turned into two, the conversation just kept flowing, and that “quick dinner” turned into talking all night. We covered everything from favorite foods to random travel stories, with zero awkward silences. No big production, no over-the-top gestures, just a really great night that neither of us wanted to end.
