The DR is the most popular travel destination in the Caribbean (yes, now with more visitors than Jamaica). Most airport officials, taxi drivers, and hotel staff know enough English to make travel smooth and problem free.

How does Covid 19 affect travel to the Dominican Republic?

Answer

A "negative" Covid test result document, taken within 5 days of travel to the DR is required along with a Passport. A similar test is required for your return trip. Tests are administered free of charge at Lifestyles Resort. Similar to the USA, there are currently mandates for face coverings in public spaces. Expect this to be the case in airports and airplanes, as well as moving about in the hotel. Pools, restaurants (when seated), and beaches do not have this requirement
