Ahh…yes, HIGH SCHOOL. We met on February 4th 2019 through mutual high school friends. And even though she will never openly admit it, Cassie ironically made the first move! Quite bold we know! But lucky enough, the instant connection that we had, felt like a blessing to both of us. After a few dates it became evident that neither of us really wanted to spend time with anyone else. (Sorry friends and family we know we were annoying! Still are LOL!) At the pivotal age of 18, it’s hard to know where life will lead you or who will even be in your life next. For us however, we mutually agreed we didn’t want to be without the other moving forward in life. And without being engaged yet, it was just this silent little agreement of “I do,” between the two of us. Since then we’ve endured long distance with conflicting work schedules, a pandemic, and beginning our careers, while learning the how-to’s of “adulting.” Even though we still feel like the same “young, dumb, broke high school kids,” we’ve come a long way! And we are so grateful for the journey. After 5 years of being together, we’ve decided that it was time to truly say “I do.” We are still learning and will continue to grow together- as individuals and as a couple. And we are so excited to start this next chapter of our lives together. Looking back now, we would really like to share what we’ve learned so far: Friendship and loyalty above all, respect the other as you would respect yourself, take care of yourself - as there is now someone who relies on you, and love each other unapologetically.
