Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Our ceremony and reception will both be indoors but the ceremony is in a glass chapel. Ladies: We ask that you wear fun and colorful dresses. (Think royal wedding) Men: We ask that you wear dress pants and short or long sleeve collared button ups. Feel free to join in on the fun with colors. (No ties or jackets necessary)

Where do I park/go when I arrive?

Answer

Option 1: Follow the signs to park at the Marjorie Allen Chapel. After parking, follow the paved path on the right through the trees to get to the chapel doors. Option 2: Park at the main entrance (tell the staff you are there for a wedding). Walk through the Grand Hall and follow the path over the bridge and up to the chapel. (This is a pretty long walk if you aren’t expecting it but it does allow you enjoy the gardens before the ceremony).

What time do I need to arrive?

Answer

We ask that guests begin arriving at 4:30 pm. Chapel doors will close at 4:55 and will not be reopening until the ceremony has concluded.

Where do I go/What do I do when I arrive at the Chapel?

Answer

When you arrive at the Chapel please head straight to the altar (I know, it’s weird). We would like every family to get their picture taken by our photographer before the ceremony starts. We are using it as part of our guest book and plan to send you a copy. You may take one with your children and one without if you would like to. My coordinator, Allison, will have a list of family names to make sure no one is missed. After your picture is taken please have a seat on either side of the chapel.

Where do I go after the Ceremony?

Answer

Our reception will be held in the Grand Hall immediately following the ceremony. If you parked at the Chapel you will need to drive down to the Grand Hall main entrance, other wise you will walk thru the gardens to get to the Grand Hall. Once you arrive, please go inside and grab some ice cream and a glow wand to wait for the couple.

Will there be food and drinks?

Answer

Yes! We will have an appetizer/small plates buffet for everyone to enjoy as well as soda and ice cream.

When do I have to leave?

The reception will end at 10 pm.

Answer

The bride would like everyone to remain seated as she walks down the aisle. The officiant will remind you of this when the time comes.
