Tyrian and Hayley’s story began in the fall of 2020 in the most unexpected way. During the height of the COVID lockdown, Hayley was living in Wisconsin and had built her very first computer to pass time. Meanwhile, Tyrian had made the journey back home to California from Canada to continue school online. On Hayley’s birthday that year, her former roommate gifted her the game Dead by Daylight. Hoping to make new friends on the game, Hayley began to stream and play online. One fateful night in late October, Hayley and some friends loaded into a match against Tyrian who promptly destroyed them and won the game. Impressed by his skills (she actually thought he was cheating), Hayley sent him a private message inviting him to join her in future games. From that moment on, the two became inseparable. What started as playing games together turned into daily conversations, late night phone calls, movie dates from afar, and even falling asleep on the phone together. A friendship quickly grew into something much more. In April of 2021, Hayley went to California to meet Tyrian and his family in person to spend Easter together. When it came time for her to return to Illinois, she realized leaving wasn’t an option. She had to return to him. With the help of his family, a plan was set in motion to unite them in Monterey, California. By summer of 2021, Hayley packed her life up in her little car and moved out of Illinois to start their next chapter together. Now, five incredible years later, Tyrian and Hayley have built a life full of love, adventure and growth. They’ve explored new places, Hayley graduated college, Tyrian climbed the career ladder, welcomed their cat Bea into the family, and moved to the Bay Area to be closer to family. They are excited to take their next step into their adventure, continuing it as husband and wife.
