Life doesn't always go as planned... sometimes it goes just a little bit better. Our plans were like most: graduate college, start our respective careers, get married, build a home, and start a family to share our legacies with... and in that order! But we all know that when we make plans, God laughs. And that, He did, as we were blessed with a beautiful baby girl before our ideal timeline. Exactly one year after bringing our daughter into this world, De'Andre popped the question! Just after we wished Alani a happy birthday and helped her blow out her candle, Dre had an announcement he wanted to make. Now, this was no surprise as he had already informed me that he wanted to say a few words at her birthday party. So, of course, as he was making his way through his speech, I kept chiming in thinking this was an "us" thing, completely oblivious to the fact that he had something else cooking up his sleeve. When I saw him kneel down on his knee and reach for the ring box, everything became a blur. I don't even remember what he said past that moment. I couldn't believe the moment I had fantasized about for the last 4 years was finally happening. On June 8, 2019, I said "yes" to the love of my life.

There is always three sides to every story - his side, her side, and the truth. So to keep it sweet and simple, we met on March 10, 2014 in Panama City Beach, FL.

We will be having a brunch wedding on Sunday, October 3, 2021. The ceremony will take place at 11:00am at Harborside Chapel in Safety Harbor, FL. The reception will follow at Crystal Ballroom Clearwater and will end promptly at 5:00pm. Travel time between the two venues is approximately 10 minutes.
