Taj & I met aboard the Bemini Super-Fast Boat. Our first date was to dinner @ Ruby Tuesdays. As the days & years flew by our bond grew stronger & even obstacles were being thrown our way. Prayer & perseverance brought us to where we are today. We have a bond like no other. September 2020 a friend & I planned a couples dinner date for 10/10/2020 with 4 other couples @ 8pm @ Longhorn (at least to my knowledge we were). 10/10/2020 was here & it was about 7pm & Taj was not home yet so I just knew we would be late. I started calling my friends who were meeting us there to let them know we would be late & just so happens NOT ONE of them answered. After several attempts one answered & I let her know we would be late. Her response was “take your time we will be here”. By that time Taj arrived home and we was preparing to leave. As we were driving to the restaurant he says “oh bae let me play this song, I know you would love it” After fumbling through his phone he played one of my favorites Kenny Lattimore For You. The timing was perfect. It played until we got there. I went to make a U Turn into resturant and I said “bae im nervous” he replied “about what?” While holding the steering wheel shaking I said “I dont know, something is happening”. I called my friend to let her know we was there, she greeted us outside. While walking to the back Taj vanished. In a reserved area I saw about 40 of my loved ones, ballon arches and was lost. The moment came, I got a tap on my back, I turned around and saw the love of my life on one knee asking to marry me. Tears of joy and weak knees won at that point. After leaving him down there for a little due to me being shocked I gladly said YESSS! What we are looking forward to the most, besides getting to spend the rest of our lives together, is having everyone that we care about together, all in one place.
