Biltmore Estate
Fun fact: David proposed in front of the Christmas trees on the lawn of the Biltmore Estate. The Biltmore Estate is a large private estate and tourist attraction near Asheville, North Carolina. Biltmore House is the largest privately owned house in the United States, at 16,623 square meters (178,926 square feet) of floor space and 12,568 square meters (135,280 square feet) of living area. Construction of the house began in 1889 and continued well into 1896. In order to facilitate such a large project, a woodworking factory and brick kiln, which produced 32,000 bricks a day, were built onsite, and a three-mile railroad spur was constructed to bring materials to the building site. Construction on the main house required the labor of well over 1,000 workers and 60 stonemasons.
The Omni Grove Park Inn
The Grove Park Inn has many different things you can do! Around Christmas you can get hot chocolate from the life size gingerbread house in the lobby. There are two massive fireplaces with rocking chairs - if you can be lucky enough to get one! During this time you can also see the hundreds of gingerbread houses submitted from all over the US. There is also the option to buy day passes to their incredible spa.

French Broad Chocolate Lounge is made up of two very talented chocolatiers. This lounge has all the chocolate treats you could imagine from truffles to cake and everything in between. The location is also where all their treats are made and shipped. French Broad chocolate can be found throughout the US.
Downtown
If you have time during your stay, you may want to take a drive to downtown Asheville. There are many local stores and restaurants unlike any other.
