We never knew anything more than each other’s names back in high school. I was a freshman and he was a senior. He graduated, went off to school, I graduated and did the same. After many years in different places, we both moved back home; however we did not cross each other’s paths until April 2017 at the Auburn Rodeo. I was out celebrating my new job and saw Tyler and his best friend Eric across the way. I went and said “hi,” talked for all of two minutes and we both went on our way. A week later, I muscled up the courage to message Tyler on Facebook (thank goodness for social media). We exchanged some messages and he suggested getting together to catch up. A month and a half later, he made it happen. Our first date was nothing short of amazing. We talked, we danced, we laughed, and we planned a trip to SF for a Giants game a month out. Neither one of us questioned if we would still be dating by then. And sure enough... 3 years later... we would be getting married. It is funny how things work out.
