Steamship Authority

Getting to the island: Options 1: Have maximum flexibility to explore our beautiful Island by bringing your own car over on the Ferry. Enjoy the small towns, local beaches and fresh seafood. Book a round trip car reservation from Woods Hole to Martha's Vineyard. Options 2: No car ferry reservation. Park at the Steamship Authority Parking Lot on Palmer Avenue in Falmouth. Depending on how full the parking lot is, the SSA has another Parking Lot at Thomas Landers (there will be signs directing you). Take the free SSA shuttle bus down to the boat. These parking lots are available for a fee per day. Tickets can be bought online or at the ticket office in Woods Hole. Once on the island, you can use the Public Bus (VTA), Uber or Taxi services to explore and travel around.
