FAQs

Question

When should I rsvp by?

Answer

Guests with a formal invitation please RSVP before September 15th 2025 (The RSVP page will be visible here on the website after formal invitations are sent out to guests.)

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We will be doing a semi-formal wedding dress code and our color scheme is autumn colors with also blush pink and black. It is also recommended to wear something warm with the cold autumn air in Cache Valley during October as part of the wedding will take place outside in the earlier evening hours. Please note that we will be taking lots of photos and videos of our event.

Question

Where do I park for the event?

Answer

There is a parking lot directly across the street from the Riter Mansion where guests are aloud to park, please do not pull into the Riter Mansion’s drive way unless you need wheel chair assistance. The drive way is typically used for the Riter Mansion staff and for the wedding vendors during events.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

For invitation only we will be starting the ceremony in the Riter Mansion’s gardens at 4:30 pm sharp, so please allow yourself time to park, check in and find your seat. We expect guests to arrive between 3:30 to 4:20 pm. Please note, there will be live streaming cameras set up for the ceremony.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation has a plus 1 you may bring a date but due to limited seating it will also be by invitation only.

Question

Are kids welcome? And what about friends and family to far away to travel?

Answer

We adore your kids and would have loved for them to join us for our ceremony and dinner, however due to limited seating and budget we have decided on an adult only event for the first half of our wedding. If any of your children would like to come to the open reception or if you couldn’t make it to the first half and want to bring your kids to the open reception it starts at 7 pm and they are more than welcome to at that time. We hope you understand. For those who are unable to join the full event we will be including a live stream of the ceremony for anyone to watch and a wedding video and photos of the full event will be added in our website gallery within the week following our wedding to celebrate with us. There will also be QR code links to fun games and activities to participate online posted the week of the wedding. And for family and friends who live farther away and are unable to travel please come celebrate with us online! The live stream will begin at 4:30 pm and the link will be posted to the website a month before the wedding. Please make sure to check your time zone so you don’t miss it.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes! Please let us know when you RSVP. The bride herself has made sure there will be options available for everyone.

Question

What is the seating for the ceremony and the dinner?

Answer

Ceremony: We will have the first few rows in the front reserved for direct family members but other than that you can sit where you would like. “Pick a seat, not a side!” Dinner: There is not placed seating for the dinner when you enter the carriage house. Please find a seat and enjoy. (There is reserved seating for the bridal party so please be mindful of that)

Question

Is there anything between the ceremony and dinner?

Answer

Yes! We have planned a fun hot chocolate bar for everyone to enjoy while our photographer does our wedding party photos. So after the ceremony please feel free to head over to the hot chocolate bar to make a cup to enjoy!

Question

Will there be any alcohol at the wedding?

Answer

No, it will be an alcohol-free wedding. Please do not bring any. There will be so many fun activities from yummy treats, hot chocolate and delicious food, to lots of games to play. Our venue is very strict about no alcohol so please be respectful of our venue and their awesome staff. We promise it’ll still be lots of fun!
