Sydney and Tyler first met in the Summer of 2020, starting off with a very smooth message from Sydney that read “Nice school.” This led our two lovers to meet on July 10th for their first date at the Dependable Drive-In in Moon, PA. However, things didn’t go as planned as a thunderstorm knocked out the power to Tyler’s apartment and garage door. Unable to get into his garage, he decided to call his future wife to see if she could come pick him up (very smooth). Sydney made her way to pick him up and was greeted by a bouquet of flowers, sour patch kids, and whoppers. The trouble doesn’t end here; our lovers made their way to the drive-in, parked the car, and waited patiently for the showing to start… But it never did. Instead of Palm Springs, they had the pleasure of watching the second half of the original Ghostbusters and Jumanji 2. What a treat! They made the most of the night and their romance began to bud. One week later, Tyler made things exclusive after a second date at Phipps Conservatory and Schenley Park. But the story doesn’t end there… (Fast forward 3 years)

On August 16th, 2023, while taking a trip to the Pacific Northwest to visit their close friend, Orion, Tyler had a plan in mind to propose to the love of his life. Once again, things didn’t go according to plan. The two lovers and their friend, Orion, made the trek to the North Cascades where Tyler had plans to propose to Sydney at Lake Ann on the Maple Pass Loop. He went over the different scenarios in his head on the way there, hoping that everything went according to plan. On the five hour drive, they had noticed signs indicating that roads would be closed ahead due to wildfires. Four hours in, they decided to push forward to the trailhead, only to be greeted by red tape and the Forest Services. They were told that a new wildfire had broke out the night before and that they would have to turn back. Orion hatched a backup plan at the drop of a hat. The Rattlesnake Ledge Trail had a beautiful view and would ultimately be the site where Tyler proposed to Sydney… and she said YES! Totally worth the 10 hour car ride! And so the wedding planning began… and we cannot wait to celebrate with you! Welcome to the beginning of our forever.
