Storme and Tyler met when they were both freshmen at Florida State University. It all began when Tyler direct messaged Storme on Instagram on November 6th, 2015. A few days later, the two met in person for the first time. Tyler and Storme spent the next 6 months getting to know each other- but neither of them ever told the other how strongly they really felt about each other.

When June 2016 rolled around, Tyler (finally) expressed his feelings for Storme- which prompted her to make a day trip to Gainesville with her parents to watch Tyler pitch in the Super Regional game vs. the Florida Gators. This is when Storme met Tyler’s parents for the very first time. After the game, Tyler asked Storme to stay the night with his parents and their family friends in Gainesville so that they could see each other the following day. Storme had just met Tyler’s parents hours before, so this was a big step for her! She had such strong feelings for Tyler that she accepted the offer. A short 7 days later, Tyler asked Storme to be his girlfriend on June 20th, 2016.

On the morning of November 20th, 2018, Storme’s sister-in-law, Shelby, texted her and her sister, Skyler, asking if they could set aside some time later that afternoon to take photos on the beach. Shelby said that she was wanting to get canvas’s made for their mother, Shelley, as a Christmas gift. Thinking nothing of it, Storme got ready and then drove to the beach where she thought she would be meeting up with the rest of her siblings for the photos. Instead of seeing her siblings, Storme saw a wooden stake in the sand that had a red rose and an envelope addressed to her tied to it. She read the note inside which had the sweetest words from Tyler in it- along with instructions to walk along the beach until she found the next envelope. 5 envelopes later, Storme finally reached Tyler who was waiting for her. He had a beautiful set up with red roses, a picture frame containing their favorite picture of them two, and champagne. After a short speech, (which neither of them remember from all of the adrenaline) Tyler got down on one knee and asked Storme to marry him- and she said YES!
