Mine and Tyler's story goes way back... to the day we were born, actually. We were born on the exact same day, at the exact same hospital.. three hours apart! Crazy, right? We ended up meeting each other for the first time in middle school. In the 6th grade, Tyler asked me to be his girlfriend and I said yes. Unfortunately, the middle school relationship was short lived. It did lead us to becoming good friends for the next couple of years though. We told each other everything and spent so much time together, as friends. Finally, when we were 15, Tyler told me that he loved me and he always had. I told him that I felt the same way. We started dating and we have been together ever since. Watching each other grow up and being there for each other through every phase of our lives has been such an amazing and special adventure.

The proposal will always be one of our most cherished days. 7 years of suspense of not knowing when that day would come led to a roller coaster of emotions on the day of. Tyler made sure the leaves were the perfect shade of fall colors and that the people who mean the world to me were there. Pictures of our sweetest memories were attached to a tree while a sweet song called "The Night We Met" played in the background. Tyler always kept me on my toes of when he may pop the question and I can honestly say, I never expected it on that day. He always claimed he wouldn't get emotional, but he couldn't hold back the tears after bringing me over to the rose petals that were laid out over the lake. When he finally got down on one knee, neither of us could hold back the tears. Afterwards, we popped champagne and celebrated with our favorite people. It was the most beautiful and special moment of our lives.
