We Decided on Forever! We are so excited to have each and every one of you join us on the very beginning of our next chapter!

We never imagined swiping right on bumble would lead us to this big day. Tyler lived outside of my radius, but while he was visiting family in Alexandria he had some free time so he checked in. You know the story after that. We chatted, laughed, had the best time getting know one another so we decided to go on our first date. The Reveal We decided to meet up in Alexandria at Pike & Pint. Hailey (Sarah’s Sister) ended up tagging along to our first date. The first thing that stood out to me was his voice and the first thing he thought was ‘damn she’s short’. We sat down, ordered, and started getting to know one another. He thought I had good taste because I ordered their seafood dish. I noticed he really tried to bring Hailey into the conversation and didn’t try leaving her out or making her feel uncomfortable. We didn’t know it but as soon as Hailey and I went to the bathroom the food came out. It took us a bit before we came back so he got nervous we left. He didn’t know it at the time but it wouldn’t be the first time I would test his patience. Getting caught up in time, the waitress came and told us they were closing soon. She brought us the check and I quickly grabbed my card. He was upset because he wanted to pay. He only had $40 cash on him so he told me to take it or leave it as a tip. Hailey then chimed in and said “I’m a broke college kid and could use the money” so she took it. We ended up leaving and chatting by the cars for 30+ minutes. Once we left I talked with Hailey on our way home and she told me to stop being stubborn and take the money. She told me she actually liked him and she felt like it was a good idea to go out again. That all lead to this day where we finally become Husband and Wife.

I’ve been waiting for my Christmas present for almost two months now. Tyler kept telling me it was a big custom made gift. I was so upset about the whole thing because I wanted so badly for him to save his money to buy me an engagement ring. He tried getting me to come out to the garage but I was throwing a fit and told him I didn’t want it and he should return it to save up. He finally talked me into going out in the garage. With the garage door open and his truck backed up to the door, I was already stressed. Once I calmed down he had me open up his tailgate. I quickly opened, then shut it, telling him there was nothing in there besides his old truck rims he had taken off. He told me once again, just open it, so I did. There was a note, unfolding it I read “Do you love me, do you wanna be my friend’ check Yes or No”. I turned around and he was down on one knee. I was crying so hard with happy tears but not able to say yes with my words. So I just started nodding my head yes! He looked at me grabbed my hand and said “let’s see if it fits”.
