Our wedding song ❤️
As a 27 year old female, I thought I would be single forever. My late mother constantly reminded me that someone would walk into my life when I least expected it. I always would respond with "When?!?", as I didn't want to meet someone at a bar, and worked everyday. During the midst of the pandemic, my parents had some trees taken down. Ryan was the guy taking down the trees, and my mother was right all along. He walked right into my own backyard.
The date picked for our wedding is quite a special one. My mother passed away on December 9th, 2020 after a long battle with cancer. Her funeral services were during “Covid”, and it truly was not the celebration of life that she deserved. The date chosen is my mother, Anne Holt Dabney’s, 64th birthday. While this day is a celebration of Ryan and I’s love, it is also a celebration of her life. I could not think of a better way to honor my mother, giving her a proper send off, and the party she rightly deserves ❤️ If you knew my mother, you know that she knew how to party. While I am saddened by her not being able to attend my wedding, I’d like this to be special for not only us, but our family and friends alike. Bring your dancing shoes and get ready to celebrate so many lovely things on this day.
