We're getting married!

We met at a lunch arranged by mutual friends during a church conference in Chandler, Arizona. It wasn't until after the fact that we both realized we were being set up. We didn't think much of it then because neither one of us was ready to be in a relationship. Fast forward a couple of years, we somewhat reconnected on Strava - a social network for athletes. Then we saw each other again at the same church conference a few months later. This time things were different. That’s pretty much when we thought, “Okay. This could be something.”

The weekend before Valentine's day, I (Rue) took a road trip to Hampton, VA to visit Tyler. On Valentine's Eve, I was asked to give my testimony at his church. When I was done, Tyler came up and got down on one knee. He asked. I said "Yes!" and we were engaged. We look forward to celebrating this next chapter in our lives with you. See you soon!
