Tyler and Rachel both went to college at San Diego State University. Tyler got his degree in Mechanical Engineering, but originally thought he would go into Physical Therapy, so he applied to be in the Biology/Health Science dorms. Rachel, a Biology pre-med major, absolutely did not want to be in the "nerd dorms" but took a nap while signing up, and her mother placed her in them. As fate would have it, these two ended up in the same hallway two doors down from each other. It's like it was meant to be.
