Getting to enjoy the people you work with is an incredible blessing. Being able to call them friends, even more so. Jacob had my respect and esteem for his work-ethic and compassionate interactions with people from the beginning, it was a great foundation to build a friendship on, and probably the only way it has gotten to where we are today. For all my growth and improvement, I'm still incredibly awkward. He thinks I'm great, and it took me a fair while to believe him. I've had years to become the compliment-denying, self-effacing genius that I am, that doesn't get undone in an instant! It took time and a great deal of frustration on his part for me to come to see how spectacular I truly am! But honestly, and without sarcasm, getting to see yourself the way someone who loves you sees you is an incredible gift. Jacob and I have worked to get here. It has been a path upon which grace and patience were vital but I think we both found them easy to give because we knew where we wanted to end up and what was required to get there. The wedding, the vows, it'a not an ominous transition or deviation from the direction we've been headed since the beginning. It's the perfect and practical next step. A sharing with others the accord we have with one another. We are excited to share it with you!
