Flitzing (verb) To flirt with a student via email; specific to Dartmouth College as the email system is called Blitz. Most commonly used when names are known, but phone numbers are not. Predates the google search. A chance encounter, a rainy muddy day, some dazzling baseball statistics, and a handsome suit one day in March 2015 came together to spark the beginning of us. In the early days, it was truly a story of young love. Many flitzes were exchanged. Many texts too. Then the flitzes morphed into dates and the dates evolved into adventures. We spent the following year together at Dartmouth, and we have so many fond Dartmouth memories together and with our friends that we will never forget. At the end of the school year in 2016, Tyler traveled west for work while Perry stayed in NH to finish her degree. Despite the distance, we made the audacious commitment to visit each other every 3 weeks. The redeyes were brutal, but the reunions were brilliant. Still, we were both happy to wave goodbye to the frequent redeyes when Perry finished her PhD and flew west to be reunited with Tyler in 2017. And yada yada yada, we’re getting married!
