Starting with the most fun first date. From the shock of finding out they grew up a couple streets apart to Patti surprising him with her diverse jobs (ballet instructor, RSO, and retail manager). The two hit it off over spicy margs, overpriced tacos, and then extended the date with some healthy competition at Dave and Busters. Not too long after, Patti attempted to bribe Tyler to be her plus-one at her older sister's birthday celebration by offering to drive and treat them to in-n-out. But no such bribery was needed 🥰 BUT Patti was a nervous girl and, in her feigned nonchalance, she put off the "what are we" talk until her birthday celebration (17 days AFTER her actual birthday) when she introduced him to all of her rave friends and had to face the music. The conversation was yelled over all of the bass that is Wobbleland and was as follows: P: "My friends are all asking what we are!" T: "Is this your way of asking if I'm your boyfriend?" P: ".....👀....yes." T: "Yes, I'm your boyfriend!" 🎶 and the rest is history 🎶

When Patti's work was put on the long pause, Tyler suggested that she should pack up a bit of clothes and stay down at his property in the middle of nowhere (Paicines) to escape the crazy that was the suburbs. To both of their surprise, they didn't hate living together! In fact, it was ridiculously fun! From flashlights dying on them while they were in the old copper mine just off the property, climbing their way up to the top of the abandoned mercury mine structures, shooting shotguns, countless other adventures, sharing home cooked meals, and watching a ridiculous amount of movies and binging shows together, they were attached at the hip.

Did Patti have her own place? Yes. Did she stay there? Rarely. Pretty much as soon as she was brought back to work, she and Tyler stayed together at his place and not much longer after that, they adopted their adorable fur baby, DEXTER!

"Move in with me." And she left her job in retail management so darn fast! April 9, 2020 The first "official" moving day. *some may argue that getting a dog is the *actual* first big step, and to that we say... "You know, you're probably right."*

Patti and Tyler spent a lot of their time out in Paicines, making a few trips back out to the Bay for work and visiting friends. But, when Tyler switched his careers and Patti's work at the dance studio picked up, they ultimately had to make the hard choice to say goodbye to their house on the hill and find a place closer. July 2024 Tyler and Patti find an adorable house to live in and host their first Friendsgiving in November!

Under a ridiculously well-planned ruse, Tyler plans a wine-tasting and castle tour at Castello di Amorosa in Napa with Patti and her twin, Maryanne. Little did Patti know, Tyler had planned with the castle staff to pull of an incredible proposal in the private cellars (rose petal lined walkway, champagne, photographer springing out, closest friends hiding around the corner). Some real fairytale planning here! Floored, stunned, happily filled with wine and extremely emotional–she said YES!
