Yes. We met through tinder. However, we firmly believe we were going to meet whether it be through tinder, mutual friends, or just bumping into each other somewhere. She had me at "hey". We had our first date at Las Brisas Mexican restaurant in Malden, MO. He was nervous that there wouldn't be a second date. She invited him to bible study the same week. The rest is history.
I, like everyone else, wanted the proposal to be special and a moment she'll never forget. Olivia is very close to her family and church family. I knew that for that moment to be special and memorable for her, it would need to be shared with them. I proposed to her on Christmas Day which was actually our 5 month anniversary. I had come up with different ideas but nothing seemed right. We have a thing of writing each other little love letters so I figured I should write her a note. She had opened all of her presents there and I told her she had one more. I had her stand up and face towards the Christmas tree away from me and the rest of her family. She read the note which said, "Olivia Grace, I had no idea of what was to come after our first date. From the moment we met, I knew you were someone special but didn't know you would become my special someone. You've become my peace, my safe haven, my best friend, and my person. I've never loved anyone the way I've loved you. I've never been loved the way that you love me. You're the most beautiful, loving, and caring woman in the world and I want to spend the rest of my life with you." She turned around and then I asked...well you can probably guess what I asked. Long story short, she said yes and here we are.
