The 3.5 mile trail connects some of the coolest neighborhoods in Charlotte. You can take the light rail for transportation. A lot of the spots below are located right off of light rail stops, making it easy to get around. For guests staying in our recommended hotels, the nearest light rail stop is Stonewall Station, a minute walk from The Westin.
Located across the street from Pins Mechanical, this natural light-filled space is the first Hi-Wire taproom to include two separate bars. Hi-Wire Brewing Charlotte, opened in July 2022, is exciting and fun-filled with a variety of activities and areas to hangout. It's an easy ten-minute walk from the East/West light rail station.
Charlotte Beer Garden offers the world's largest selection of draft beers in one restaurant. There are three levels with four bars throughout. They also have a decent menu with a good selection of pub snacks. It's five minute walk from the Carson Station light rail stop.
We love Sabor! It's affordable, quick, and the food is dynamite. We'd recommend the Nachos Especial, Chorizo Empanadas, Sabor Especial Burrito, Fish Tacos, or the Quesadillas. It's a three minute walk from the East/West Station light rail stop. There's also a location in uptown.
This spot has a great selection of beer, good food, and wonderful indoor/outdoor seating making it an awesome place to grab drinks and dinner. While it is a short walk from the Scaleybark Station light rail stop, we would recommend driving or ubering here to avoid having to walk near busy main roads.
