How we met

There are a few ways they could have met but hadn't yet. Tyler was part of Rainier runners ( a running club). There is a picture with him and two of the bridesmaids (Rachel & Amanda) having drinks with him post run from 2 years before they met. Lindsay had also gone to Rainier runners a few times with Amanda in the past but they hadn't run into each other. They also briefly met at a ski race but Tyler was sick so raced and left, keeping his ski mask on the whole time. Tyler also worked for AMR dropping patients off at the ER where Lindsay worked. He was on nights and she worked days so their paths never crossed. Brenda Baxter (shout out) organized a big 30 person Cabin weekend at Crystal Mountain. Luckily, Lindsay decided the FOMO would be too terrible if she went into work that weekend so she came down with Altitude sickness (best decision ever). While on a lift Tyler took a picture of Lindsay with 2 other women then asked Lindsay for her number so he could send the picture. She asked if he was just looking for her number. They spent time over the weekend skiing, talking and dancing at the Dirt Bag Ball (annual crystal mountain ski patrol fundraiser). Two and half years later here we are!

How he proposed

They were celebrating Lindsay's Birthday with her parent's, Dick and Deb, sister, Macki, and brother in law, Skyler, at Lindsay's Parent's house. After eating, Skyler who was in on the plan, suggested they walk down to Waverly beach park in Kirkland to enjoy the Sunset. They grabbed the dogs, a glass of wine and started making their way down. As they walked out on the dock Tyler got more sentimental and told Lindsay he loved her, she said "you too" and thought it was an odd time on his part, she grew slightly suspicious. Tyler was looking for a good place to stop, and was wondering why the family was still following (he thought they were going to stay on shore). As Tyler did come to a stop, pull out the ring and get on one knee, Kramer decided to pull on the leash and the ring flew out of the box while he was opening it. Luckily it did not fall in the water. Tyler said "will you marry me" Lindsay said "of course." Tyler said "will you please put it on so it doesn't fall" Lindsay said "of course." There was a lot of laughing and in Lindsay's opinion it was perfectly unperfect.
