We’re Getting Married!

I was a senior in high school taking classes at DSU, and Tyler was the long haired "hottie" that sat in front of me in Psychology 101 that I was too scared to introduce myself to. For those curious I did pass the class, but Tyler was quite the distraction! Fast forward a year, Tyler was a member of SAE on campus, and I was a member of KD. So we did eventually meet, and we frequently saw each other at events and around campus. Tyler and I end up becoming friends but we always hung out in groups. I always wanted to ask him to formals or date parties, but he was literally the first person asked because he was such a fun date! I am fully convinced there was some sort of waiting list I didn't know about in order to take this man to an event! Long story short - we never dated in college despite both of us being interested in one another. So, Tyler graduated in 2016 and moved to Florida, and I graduated in 2017. We kept up through social media, but we had gone our separate ways. Don't worry though, God had a plan! After I graduated, I went on a trip with some friends to Santa Rosa, Florida, which happened to be very close to Tyler. He was snap chatting and texting me about how I should come visit him and hang out! I was still interested in him, but unfortunately, I was being hard headed at the time regardless of my friends encouragement to go see him. Tyler would tell youl that I "ghosted him"... whoops! So, the trip ended without a visit to Tyler, and I went back home to MS and he stayed in FL. But DON'T WORRY, God STILL had a plan! Only 3 months later, Tyler decided to come back to DSU for grad school. As soon as I heard the news, I knew this was my chance to win him over! Apparently, Tyler had the same idea, and we met up the very night he moved back to town! We hung out for the next few weeks, and on September 19, 2017, Tyler officially asked me to be his girlfriend. Three and a half years later, he asked me to be his wife in the heart of New Orleans and I said YES!!
