During the last leg of our European trip, we visited the Cliffs of the Moher while staying at the Dromoland Castle in Ireland. Kit had really wanted to visit the cliffs and thus planned the trip around this location. Once we got to the cliffs, we climbed to the top of the O'Brien's tower (the same O'Brien that built the castle we were staying in) to enjoy the beautiful panoramic views of the cliffs. When we arrived, the day had begun quite cloudy and had smatters of rain throughout the morning during our windy drive to the cliffs. By mid-morning, on a rare break from the gloom, the sun started to peek through the gloom and the rain clouds began to recede. During the hike, Kit wasn't sure why Tyler kept making her hold his right hand instead of his left. She had an inkling that something weird was going on when he became oddly protective of his left coat pocket. As the crowd began to thin on the top of the tower, Tyler realizes then and there that it was the perfect moment and location to ask Kit the question that he's been wanting to ask her a year after they started dating. A bit jittery and nervous, he got on one knee and brought the little red box out from his left coat pocket. Once he had gotten on one knee, he turned Kit around (whose back was facing towards him because she was busy snapping photos on her phone) and she immediately started blubbering and was beyond coherence. Tears were streaming down both of their faces, the wind was blowing 50mph (rough estimate) and she was wailing before Tyler could finish his words. Neither of them could remember the exact words that were being exchanged because of the wind and the emotions, but at the end, she said yes and the rest was history.
