Hildene, The Lincoln Family Home is the historic estate of Robert Todd Lincoln, son of President Abraham Lincoln, set on 412 acres overlooking the Green Mountains. Guests can tour the beautifully preserved mansion, stroll through formal gardens, explore miles of scenic walking trails, visit the working farm and goat dairy, and step aboard the restored 1903 Pullman railcar Sunbeam. Hildene offers a unique blend of history, architecture, gardens, and Vermont countryside, making it a wonderful half-day excursion in Manchester.
