Wedding attire?

Answer

Ladies: a nice dress, bring a light jacket in case it gets windy/chilly. Men: please no jeans. Yes to a button up, short sleeve or long. Slacks or nice pants. Dress nice, no shorts. I have included an inspo collage in the gallery for a visual!!

What should I bring besides clothes?

Answer

Sunscreen, after sun, hats, toiletries, feminine products, glasses, money/credit card, passport, phone charger, camera/gopro, contact lenses, chapstick, medications, hairspray, mouse, hair oils, brush, makeup, safety pins. Please note, they do have a mini lil cvs type store but everything is 4 x the price!!

Note about phones

Call your cell phone provider and inquire about adding an international package to your plan for the week or two you will be abroad. If you don’t have an international data plan, make sure you turn off your data while you’re abroad or you could incur outrageous fees when your phone automatically updates email/text messages EVEN if you’re not using your phone.

Restaurants

Answer

Every room gets a Butler. Your butler will make your restaurant reservations, just let him know. All the restaurants are delicious, we definitely recommend the steak house, French restaurant and the teppanyaki grill/sushi restaurant. And yes, everything is ALL YOU CAN EAT and FREE. Please note, the French restaurant is classier and romantic. They do have a dress code. Ladies dress nicely in dress and heels or sandals. Men, closed toe shoes, nice pants and a button up(THEY ARE STRICT ABOUT THIS DRESS CODE, speaking from experience)!!

If you would like to leave the resort

Please book an excursion through the resort. It will be much easier than booking on your own and figuring out the transportation.

What excursions we recommend

Answer

Ty and I recommend booking these: Cenotes tours(natural watering holes, look them up) Xcaret days/tours- xcarret is their version of sea world but is much better! Here, you can swim with dolphins, sharks, snubs dive and more. We loved it there! Xplor- is the same company as Xcaret but has a lot of active tours like zip lining, dune buggies, etc. There’s tons of excursions you can book but check out the excursion desk in the front lobby on the first day!!

What if I get there early and my room isnt ready?

Don’t worry, they have an adult only VIP section in the front, wear you can take a shower, change or relax in. What we did our last trip when we arrived from our red eye flight: we took a shower, changed into our swim suits and went to the pools/day beds. They will hold your luggage at the front and deliver to your room once it’s ready.
