We're getting married!

Tyler and Katie first saw each other at a party in 2017, they would have no idea what that chance meeting would grow into. A year or so down the road the two would match on a dating app and went on a first date at Bambinos in Tomahawk. Katie, having no idea what to do after dinner, decided walking around Walmart in Rhinelander would be just fine. They started dating shortly after that, but unfortunately it wasn't the right time for the relationship to truly begin. Tyler wrote a letter to Katie months after the breakup, but she wasn't ready for anything still.  She kept the letter close to her though.  Three years would pass where they would still keep in touch, and were distant friends.  Tyler and Katie's friends (Mariah, Jake, Nick, and Kiersten) with Katie in on the plan, would begin laying the groundwork for them to get back together again.  The friends would start bringing Katie to the same bars Tyler was frequenting. Soon, Tyler and Katie would rekindle their relationship and they would be happily attached at the hip ever since.

Tyler had goofed one day and promised to Katie that he wouldn't get another gun till he finally purchased her a ring... One day, Tyler was with Jake W. and Makala in Rhinelander at Hodag Gun & Loan staring at a shotgun he couldn't pass up. But he had to keep to his word, so the three headed over to Wickersham Jewelry to create a masterpiece of alexandrite and white gold. That night Katie would find out that Tyler got a new toy that day, which meant a question would be coming some time. Fast-forwarding to November 9th 2023, the day after the wedding of their friends Carson and Mariah in Cancun, Mexico. Tyler, Jake W., and Makala had planned a couples date night at the Mexican restaurant in the resort, followed by a walk down on the beach and a question. All plans went off without a hitch leaving Katie none the wiser to a question she had been waiting for. Dinner was good and the couples walked on down to the beach, Makala, holding onto the ring in her purse slipped it to Tyler on the walk down. Tyler had thoroughly distracted Katie by pointing out the lights of a nearby island and dropped onto one knee behind her. Katie had turned around gasped and after a dramatic pause which turned into Tyler forgetting he had something to say for a second or two. Katie then reminded him that he had to ask, in which he did, and she said yes. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you.
