Wet met online in December of 2023. Our first date was simple, a coffee and a cute little shop. We ended up talking for over 3 hours before we realized it. From there we didnt see each other in person for a a few weeks due to health issues, but we continued to talk on the phone daily, sometimes for 6 hours. We really got to know each other over the phone. Then came the dates! Museums followed by lunches where we would order multiple things so we could share and try everything! We made plans to move in together in August 2024 while he was on Fall break from school, but one weekend in May, Kate made lasagna and homemade bread and Tyler never left. Our conversations started changing from pre-tense to future tense, talking about what we want out of life, our goals and aspirations, and each of our individual plans had each other in them. Looking back, months after we said "I love you" for the first time, we reflected on when each of us realized we were in love- it was the same day and same time. We were outside, Kate on the deck talking to the dogs, and Tyler on the patio relaxing under the umbrella. We were individuals, yet united. Fast forward to present day, we are ready to commit ourselves to each other and celebrate our love and union. We couldn't be more honored to share this moment of our story with the closest people in our lives, our community, you.
