Our weekend goal for everyone: Full belly, dead liver, happy heart. We wanted to do something non-traditional, because we are anything, but traditional. We decided, since most of our guests are from Ohio and up North, to show you what Detroit is all about! From drinks on Friday, to vows, a barbecue and a bar hop on Saturday, and end with a brunch on Sunday. Outside of the vows and barbecue, feel free to pop in and out of the other events. We've added a list of recommended things to see, places to eat, and places to drink.
Come join us at Briggs Detroit for a few drinks at 8:00PM! This bar has an awesome roof top! We will head over after our rehearsal dinner.
Transportation/Parking: Transportation will not be provided as the barbecue is only a couple of miles from the hotel. There is free parking on the streets, however we recommend using Uber or Lyft. There will be alcohol at the wedding and we want everyone to have fun and be safe! Plus Ones/Guests: Partners and plus ones have been added into your digital RSVP. If you don't have a plus one, don't worry! We guarantee you will know at least 10 people and have a blast! The Barbecue: Cocktail Hour begins at 12:30PM and will last until 1:30PM. The Ceremony will begin promptly at 1:30PM. BBQ, Open Bar, Music, and Dancing will begin at 2:00PM and end at 5:00PM. We will have music playing immediately after the ceremony, so request your songs when you RSVP! The BBQ will end promptly at 5:00PM. At this time, guests can return to their rooms, hotels, cars, horse-carriages, or mopeds to change and prepare for the Detroit Bar Hop. The Villages Biergarten 1428 Van Dyke Street Detroit, MI 48214 *More details located on the "Events" page above.*
Following the wedding we will be going out on the town and hitting a few of our favorite bars. Don't feel obligated to join us for all (or even any)! If you skip the bar hop be sure to check out our recommended destinations in Downtown Detroit. Our first stop is Briggs Detroit at 7:00PM. Briggs is a gay sports bar pub that we frequent. (Cash/Debit/Credit Accepted) Our second stop is Greenwich Times Pub at 8:15PM. Greenwich is a wonderful neighborhood bar that we also frequent. (Cash/Debit/Credit Accepted) Our final stop is Temple Bar at 10:00PM. Temple Bar is a famous Detroit bar. Bring your dancing shoes! (Cash/Debit/Credit Accepted) *More details located on the "Events" page above.*
We wanted to have a "farewell" brunch. A CALMER way to bring the weekend to an end. Join us at 11:00AM on Sunday. Location TBD, but will be Downtown. *More details located on the "Events" page above.*
