How we met ✈️❤️

11-2012

We met a little over 7 years ago, I was on my way back to Sioux Falls ( USF ) from Denver for thanksgiving break. I was getting on the plane with my enormous bags, (because I always tend to over pack obviously) While trying to stuff my bag into the over head bin, this super cute guy was laughing at me for trying to make it fit. After giving up and having to check my bag I went back to my seat which was next to the same guy who was laughing at me. That broke the ice and we started talking, we ended up talking the whole flight and learned that he went to Dakota State University, and I went to University of Sioux Falls ( which is 45 min away ). Oddly enough we both live in Colorado only 20 min from each other and we have never seen each other before. After that plane ride he asked me out and we've been together ever since! You could say we were meant to sit next to each other that day on the plane❤️

The Proposal (finally 😉)

12-24-2019

I had a few ideas how I would propose, one was that I would propose when we cut our Christmas tree down in the mountains. I had set my phone up on my backpack after we had found the tree to get a video of the proposal, but Jordan thought I was just wanting to get a video of me cutting it down so she stayed behind the camera with our dog Grizzly. After I cut the tree I said jokingly, “If I wanted a video of just me cutting our tree down I would have asked you to hold my phone. It’s okay I was just trying to capture this moment.” She replied laughing, “Shoot! Let’s cut another one and do it!” But we only had one permit. So since that didn’t work out I decided to maybe do it Christmas Eve. On Christmas Eve Jordan’s family has a tradition of opening a few presents with their close family friends. So after all the presents were opened I snuck away quietly to grab the ring from my bag, but when I got back Jordan’s parents had one more gift for the family, it was matching gnome pajamas with a gnome hats to go with. Everyone was laughing and enjoying them and wanting to try them on right away! So I knew I had to wait a bit, during that I was shaking and nervous thinking about proposing in front of the entire family, after the excitement had gone down a bit I did it... I said, “I have a little surprise for Jordan.” At that point I was as nervous as I had ever been in my life! So nervous I forgot to get on my knee! As soon as she opened it, Jordan broke into tears of joy, and made me tear up as well. Then everyone joked around saying, “It’s about time!” Or “Took you long enough!”

For all the days along the way
