From Jenna’s perspective: Tyler and I met unexpectedly when I asked his college roommate (now a groomsman) to watch my pup, Nyla. We spent all summer crushing on each other from afar. Finally, after 3 long months of flirtatious text messages and many dropped hints, Tyler asked me on a date. I told myself I would never date a guy in the Construction Management Program at Colorado State University in fear it would come back to bite me. Tyler was the exception. From “get well” baskets to random love letters stuffed in my school bag, I knew Tyler was the man I’ve always dreamed of. Tyler and I became closer and our love grew stronger. Once we both graduated and started our careers, our life together became clear. We bought our first house and were engaged all within the same week! I would have never thought that my college crush would become my husband. I am so ready to build our lives together! From Tyler’s perspective: I met Jenna a little after I met her dog. My roommate was watching Nyla and Jenna would stop by the house to check in on her here and there. The first time she walked in I must have looked like a slob. There I was on the couch eating fast food with my roommate after the gym, but she looked beautiful. Blueish gray eyes, jean shorts, and her tattoo on her leg. From there we would talk here and there. She asked me to hang out with her and her friends, I invited her paddle boarding, we hung out at the dog park. However neither of us figured out that the other had any interest. Then I FINALLY got the courage to ask her out. After sushi and drinks, seeing each other more at school, hikes, sporting events and many dates i was able to call her mine. I guess that’s what brought us here, everyday i fall more and more in love with her. The smartest thing I have ever done was trick her into a hike and going down on one knee to ask her to marry me. This will be our most exciting adventure yet.
