Seems like a lifetime ago now, but Tyler and Ileana met through mutual friends. Ileana agreed to a last minute, impromptu trip with a friend to Orlando, Fl where Tyler had recently moved to begin his journey as a firefighter. They first met in person during an outing between the two friend groups. It was then that he knew he was going to try his hardest to ask her on a date! The next day at work, Tyler couldn’t keep his mind off of her and wouldn’t forgive himself if he didn’t at least try to see her again. With his best effort at “sliding” into her DM’s, she agreed to having breakfast the following day. Needless to say, breakfast went well. They spent the entire morning interviewing each other about the qualities they look for in a partner and what aspirations the other has. It felt like a questionnaire for a life partner because that’s exactly what it was. There were no stones unturned as each of them knew exactly what they wanted; no games. Over a year later, Ileana was finally able to move up to Central Florida where the couple has put down roots and began building their life together. About 3 years later, Tyler asked Ileana to marry him at the lighthouse of the beach where he first asked her to be his girlfriend. The engaged couple currently lives in Altamonte Springs, Fl with their goofy dog Sonny.
