Our story began in 2020, when we first started talking. With Hope’s family having a vacation home at Lake Nacimiento and Tyler’s family living there, it felt almost impossible that our paths hadn’t crossed before. In 2024, we reconnected and went on our first date at Firestone Walker Taproom in Paso Robles. From that moment on, we rarely left each other’s side. What started as long distance while Tyler lived in San Luis Obispo and Hope in Newbury Park quickly turned into weekend adventures with days at the beach, discovering new restaurants and breweries, and traveling throughout California together. In December 2024, Tyler made the move to Newbury Park, and life together only got better. Since then, we’ve created so many memories, from trips to San Diego, Tahoe and Las Vegas, to countless weekends at the lake surrounded by family. On October 10th, 2025, Tyler surprised Hope with an engagement on the beach in Ventura with both of our families there to celebrate. We are so excited to celebrate our love and this next chapter with those who mean the most to us!
