Thirteen years later…

We’ve literally known each other for, literally, as long as we can remember. We went to the same school from kindergarten on, played co-ed sports together, and had pretty much the same group of friends through it all. We've always been part of each other's lives. But it wasn’t until the summer before ninth grade that things took a turn from “just friends” to “maybe there’s something more here?” From there, we just kind of stuck together. We graduated high school (together, obviously), then took on college life as a package deal—graduating with degrees, a ton of shared laughs and memories, and a deep understanding of how to survive on ramen, cheap alcohol, and caffeine. After college, we moved back to our hometown, into our first house together, and carved out our own little corner of the world. And because we’re both suckers for extra love in our lives, we got a dog. She’s adorable, she’s a handful, and she’s definitely the third wheel. But we wouldn’t have it any other way. Then, on December 20th, 2023, we took a trip to Cabo. Early one morning, as the sun was rising over the ocean, he surprised me by asking if I wanted to spend the rest of my life with him. I said yes—mostly because I was still in awe of how beautiful it was, but also because, well, he’s my best friend, and I can’t imagine life without him. So, here we are, a few years, lots of laughs, and a dog later, ready to take the next step. We’re excited for whatever comes next, as long as we’re still laughing, adventuring, and loving each other through every chapter of our story.
