Evie and Tyler met in January of 2023 and began their relationship the most modern and legally sound way possible. By talking every single day and simply never stopping. Their very first conversation was about a Zach Bryan song which in hindsight told everyone exactly how this was going to go. At the time Tyler was in Pittsburgh weekly for work while Evie was occasionally traveling to central Pennsylvania for her job. What started as planned visits quickly turned into spending every weekend together which felt equal parts romantic and inevitable. Evie got to know Tyler and along with him, his family, his friends, and his hometown of Lewistown, Pennsylvania. She quickly learned to look forward to time there especially the meals at Sal-Lee’s Tyler’s family restaurant which became a regular and very welcome part of their visits. Over time Lewistown stopped feeling like a trip and just felt familiar. Something they quickly realized they had in common was a love of travel. So they made the very sensible decision that if one of them was already traveling to see the other they might as well turn it into a trip whenever possible. Cleveland. New York. Wilkes Barre. Ocean City Maryland which is one of Tyler's favorite places and which he proudly introduced Evie to. Fort Lauderdale one of Evie’s go to spots. Key West during a hurricane because nothing builds character like extreme weather. Three cruises. A drive to Florida and back during a government shutdown. Texas for a music festival. And the biggest trip of all Greece where Tyler was welcomed into Evie’s family roots on the island of Karpathos which now holds a very special place in both of their hearts. They share a deep love of country music and have attended an objectively impressive number of Zach Bryan concerts together. Is there such a thing as too many? The court has declined to rule. In March of 2025, after 2 years of long-distance, Tyler transferred to Pittsburgh and officially moved there, ending the era of weekends only and beginning real life every day. Together with their cat Joey and dog Bear they have built a life they love. Cooking in their new home. Planning their next adventure. And listening to their favorite songs while they do it. They can’t wait to celebrate the beginning of this next chapter as husband and wife with all of you.
