Travel

Thank you so much for making the effort to join us on this special day! While some guests will be local, others will be traveling across the state, country, and even the world to be with us. We appreciate this more than you know! We hope some of the information below can help you with the travel process, but please reach out to us if you have any more questions.

Travel Note

COMIC-CON

San Diego Comic-Con released their event date for 2025 after we set our date, and it has coincidentally fallen on the same weekend. This will result in increased tourism and traffic into San Diego the weekend of our wedding. For this reason, we recommend booking accommodations (flight, hotels, rental cars) as early as possible. Additionally, we would advise avoiding booking lodging in Downtown San Diego, or near the convention center.

Flight

San Diego International Airport

For those of you traveling to San Diego by plane, we recommend flying into San Diego International Airport and utilizing rideshare services or opting for a rental car for more flexibility over the weekend.

Rental Car

San Diego International Airport Car Rental Center

3355 Admiral Boland Way
San Diego, CA 92101

If you plan to rent a car from the airport, please book well in advance. You can take a complimentary shuttle from the terminal to the rental car center.

House Or Rental

Airbnb or VRBO

Browse Airbnb or VRBO for lodging options. We recommend booking this ASAP due to Comic-Con being the same weekend as our wedding. There are plenty of wonderful neighborhoods near our venue and surrounding events. Consider looking near: La Jolla, Pacific Beach, Sunset Cliffs, Del Mar, North Park - all of which should keep you within 20 minutes of our events without traffic. We would advise you avoid staying near Downtown San Diego because of Comic-Con.

Hotel

Hotels Nearby

Browse travel websites for hotel options. We recommend booking this ASAP due to Comic-Con being the same weekend as our wedding. While there are plenty of hotels in the La Jolla area, they can be pricey. We have listed two considerations below, though there are many more: The Sheraton La Jolla This is actually the hotel where Erin and her family would stay when she visited San Diego growing up! This hotel tends to be more budget-friendly compared to others in La Jolla. Close to a shopping center and less then 10-minutes by car to the wedding venue. https://www.marriott.com/en-us/hotels/sanjs-sheraton-la-jolla-hotel/rooms/ The Scripps Inn - La Jolla Cove We would not classify this hotel as budget-friendly, but in terms of proximity to venue, this hotel takes the cake. It is directly across the street from the wedding ceremony site, and is less than a 10 minute walk to the reception venue. https://www.scrippsinn.com/ We would advise you avoid staying near Downtown San Diego because of Comic-Con.
