In August of 2018, we met for the first time after moving to Salida, Colorado for new jobs at the Public Defenders Office. We quickly fell in love with each other, and Colorado. In September of 2022, Tyler proposed while on a weekend trip to Los Angeles. On the third floor of the LA County Museum of Art, Tyler pulled an engagement ring out of his backpack and asked Emilee to marry him. A few months later, we eloped on February 3, 2023, at the top of our local ski mountain. After taking the lift as far as it would go, we hiked to almost 12,000 feet and exchanged vows. It was magical! The photos on this site were taken that day. We are planning a formal reception for all of our family and friends to celebrate exactly one year later and we cannot wait for you to join us!
