Cheers to our happily ever after!

Back when we were young and had no worries in the world, thats when we first crossed paths. Tyler and my best friend Ashley worked together at good old Burger King in high school, Ashley was the first to introduce us. We would hangout as much as we could and laugh until we would cry. Eventually we faded away from each others groups and I ended up moving to Madison after graduation. I came back home for my 21st birthday and I went out for New Years Eve. As everyone was dancing and having a great time I just kept hearing someone belting my name from across the bar, I was so confused. I looked around and it took me a second to recognize Tyler because he didnt have a huge afro on his head. We ended up talking all night long, laughing like we were 16 again and we havent stopped since that night.

The day we got engaged felt like a dream. Mostly because this time I didn’t beleive it was happening. There were a couple of other times that I thought “This is it!” But this really was the moment. We planned a family trip with Tyler’s family and some friends. We joked all weekend that we were gonna say screw it and get eloped. Little did I know, he had a plan. We decided to take a walk with his parents and go to The Venetian because his parents said that was such a fun memory when they visted Las Vegas. We decided to take a ride on the gondola,I was amazed how much they charged and was about to say screw it. He refused. And now i know why. As we were looping back around to go back, Tyler put his hand on my leg, i knew he had something to say. My heart started beating a million beats per minute and all I could say was “oh my god, oh my god, holy crap” and he told me how much he loved me and he wants to spend the rest of his life with me, then he opened up the box. I of course said “yes!” a little too loud, but I was just so overjoyed to hear those four words. Tears were shed and we were officially engaged.
