The wedding is indoors! If you want to go outside, there is a deck with a beautiful view of the sanctuary that people can hang out on, and there will be a citronella candle out there on a candle warmer to help keep the mosquitos away as the sun goes down.
We ask that anyone who is not vaccinated please wear a mask, even though they are not required in and around the Science Resource Center during our event. Desiree and Tyler are both fully vaccinated and we hope that many of our guests will also be vaccinated. If you'd like to explore other parts of the property like the museum or gift shop, they do require masks.

A first look is time set aside before the ceremony where the bride and groom see each other for the first time on the wedding day. It is usually pre-arranged with their wedding photographer in a private place to capture that moment just for them.
Handfasting is a symbolic unity ritual in which a couple stand face to face as their hands are tied together - hence the phrase, tying the knot!. As your hands are bound, you can recite words that express your commitment to one another. Handfasting rituals are associated with Pagan ceremonies, but are now often seen in secular, spiritual, and even some Christian ceremonies. This ritual is used to symbolize the binding together of the couples' separate lives and the commitment they're making together.
